In 2014, the 84th Saudi National Day, the Jeddah Municipality inaugurated the longest flag pole in the world.
The flag pole is in the middle of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Square in the center of Jeddah.
It reaches more than 171 meters, and a flag size of 49.5 meters in length and 33 meters in width, with a total area of 1635 square meters. It weighs 570 kg and covers an area of more than 26,000 square metres.
